What to expect on our “Cologne Riviera Bike Tour”
The journey is the goal on this 30-kilometer bike tour along the Rhine. Well-developed cycle paths lead from the Eigelstein directly to the Rhine promenade, past the Hohenzollern Bridge and the fish market and on towards Rheinauhafen and Rodenkirchen. Between lush forests, small bays, sandy beaches and old villas we make our way further south. Your guide will explain a lot about Cologne and its green surroundings.
With ferry and bike across the Rhine
Small ferry – big adventure! Arrived in Weiss, you board the little “crocodile”, the ferry that takes you to the other side of the Rhine. You deserve a break here. Zündorf is located on the Groov, a silted-up former arm of the Rhine. The market square still bears witness to its medieval past and offers you space to linger in beer houses, beer gardens, ice cream parlours and cafés.
You then return to the city centre on the “Schäl Sick”, Cologne’s wrong side of the Rhine, which offers you great views of the harbour, the old town and the cathedral.
