From August 1, 2025, we start running the “TOP 5” every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 2 p.m. as a public tour with an English-speaking tour guide.
So, what are the best Cologne sightseeing highlights?
Our tours start at the medieval city gate Eigelstein, which was once the northern entrance gate to Cologne. An unmissable highlight, and not just in the eponymous Eigelstein-Veedel! In the shadow of this imposing archway, we hop on our bikes and set off on our Cologne sightseeing tour.
We asked our guides and guests: what are your Cologne sightseeing highlights? And of course! The cathedral is among the favorites! Whether it’s the construction period, the architecture, the many little anecdotes or the history of the over one hundred sculptures or over 70 windows, Cologne Cathedral always fascinates its visitors and is certainly an ABSOLUTE MUST on any Cologne sightseeing tour!
The Hohenzollern Bridge is an ultimate eye-catcher every time you visit! Never counted, but often estimated, thousands of love locks shine on the railings of the bridge. And that’s not all! We can take THE BEST panoramic photo of Cologne from the bridgehead! So get your cameras ready.
The old town! Hmm, isn’t it full of tourists anyways? We don’t think so and for us the Alter Markt, Heumarkt, Fischmarkt, Rathaus, Stapelhäuschen and the Rhine promenade are simply part of our Cologne! Our guides know their way around the maze of little alleyways and are sure to know which brewery has the biggest pork knuckle and the coldest Kölsch.
Continue on to the Rheinau Harbour, where things look completely different again, with a mix of medieval walls, industrial history and super-modernity. Past the Chocolate Museum and the so-called Crane Houses, we take a relaxed stroll through the harbor and end our entertaining Cologne sightseeing tour along the Rhine.
